2 - Call for Artists - now accepting work for the November show - Heads or Tails II - get entry form at www.MOCADC.org or contact Dave as below

3 - Call for Photographers - Now accepting photographs for Monumental Nudes, a search for the best shot with 1 or more nudes in, on or near a national landmark - $200 for best submission - Nationwide - $5 for submissions of 5 images each - submit via email or on CD - Deadline February 1, 2007 - winner will be announced by Presidents Day - contact Dave for details

4 - MOCA DC's 3rd Annual Figure Models Guild Halloween Party - $10 - great snacks, Body Painting ($5 charge to cover paint), Cash Prize for best Costume and Clothing Optional - Mark Friday Night, October 27 - 6 pm until the gallery turns into a pumpkin

6 - Art History Movie Matinee's - look for our new feature using our professional home theater system - with comfortable chairs - Film Titles will be posted in an upcoming weekly update - so keep your eyes open for some really great stuff - 1st one is a 6-DVD set of the Impressionists

7 - Still seeking individuals to volunteer & to serve on the Board of Directors for MOCA DC. A variety of positions are available, tailored to the variety of endeavors of members of this list. A Yahoo group has been established (
Subscribe: mocadc-subscribe@yahoogroups.ca) to allow people to recommend, exchange and discuss ideas and issues for our growth. Participation can be as little as in an advisory capacity to comment on issues raised in the Chat Group, to participating in regular monthly meetings. We held our first meeting Saturday, September 30 - at the lovely home of Alison Gardner & Dan Massey - next meeting in a few weeks
