Box at Firehouse Grill

BOX is better than ever and at The Firehouse Grill, Sat, June 10
Don't miss your chance to get a piece!

Alexandria, VA- May 30, 2006 BOX is back on Saturday, June 10, 2006, 9 p.m. at The Firehouse Grill with openers, Jen & The Belmont Boys. The Firehouse Grill is located at 3988 University Drive in Old Town Fairfax City, 703.383.1030, $5 cover, 21+.

Let me tell you about BOX: They can’t keep it clean but they’ll still give you a thrill.

The past year was a time of change and growth for the Alexandria-based original rock band. Beloved bass player, Kate Coffie, moved on to complete her masters. Who else to fill the hole in the BOX but New York’s own Ed Morrissey, formerly of Rubin Kincaid? They thought it would be fun to have more boys in their BOX, so they convinced Lee Cain to come off the Olympic Mountains in western Washington and pick some politically, and socially, sideways tunes with them.

Loyal BOX-ers need not worry: they still don’t take themselves too seriously, they don’t take any caca and they don’t take American Express. Catch BOX live and they’ll pitch a crowd pleasing, fist pumping sideshow circus of songs to blow your brain, tickle your tatas, and smack that ass. They charge extra for anything else.

Things about BOX your mother didn't teach you
BOX was born in 2004 when Tammy Hooper, former drummer and songwriter for DC’s punk band, The Sirens, hooked up with singer, guitarist and songwriter, Michelle Burleson. Michelle played as a solo act and in a variety of bands in Athens, Georgia, and DC. During the hiatus in the fall of 2005, Michelle wrote a slew of guitar-drenched, lyrically driven tunes, including Stack of Fiction available on the band’s web site.

It's not available everywhere, so go to the site and put
