What: Gateway’s Heliport Gallery: 8001 Kennett St. : Surfing Silver Spring
Gateway’s Heliport Gallery, a launch pad for the arts and community, in collaboration with Art-Enables is proud to present Surfing Silver Spring. Surfing Silver Spring is an exhibit of impressionistic work based on a series of photographs that capture iconic images of Silver Spring’s past and juxtapose them with photos of the present. The exhibit attempts to use the past and present to help guide us in thinking about our future. The show builds upon Gateway’s commitment to help revitalize, define and create community and shedding an important light is a wonderful representation of the diversity of our area and sheds an important light on the talents of a sector of our community whose skills are not often celebrated.

ArtDC.org is taking over the curatorial reins at Los Arrieros this month for the 3rd annual under $300 show. ArtDC.org is a collective of DC Metropolitan artists that are passionate advocates of nurturing the various artistic communities in the area. To follow the current thread on this show, visit:

Alchemy: 8025 Georgia Ave
Come visit Alchemy for all of your holiday shopping -- we host the work of over 75 artists and have many new things since last month's ArtWalk! Amazing hand-beaded belly dancing clothes and sashes, the best smelling scented candles, the cutest hand-painted t-shirts for babies, and hand-painted silk scarves and neckties that will knock your socks off. Stay tuned for more info -- we may have a belly dancer that evening or we may have a local jazz singer and keyboardist. Whichever way it goes, you'll love the hot mulled apple cider.
Pyramid Atlantic: 8230 Georgia Ave. : Affordable and Collectable: Fine Art on Paper
We have over 50 works of art $300 and under from artists throughout the region including Jake Muirhead, Percy Martin, Rachelle Chuang, Liani Foster, Steve Prince, and Bridget Lambert.
We are very excited to show emerging as well as long-established artists demonstrating the history and range of works on paper. We also have hand-made paper suitable for holiday art projects, hand-made books and boxes, and signature placemats from Pyramid artists.
We are also exhibiting the fabulous members’ juried show, Francie Hester’s Articulation installation, and many other works on paper from the Pyramid Atlantic archives. Don’t miss out on all this great art!

The studio offers architectural commissions, fine art glass, and internationally recognized courses in kiln formed glass. See new artwork, jewelry and the new fall course schedule.
Space 7:10 : 963 Bonifant St. : Pyramid Spill Over
Working in conjunction with Pyramid Atlantic, Space 7:10 will exhibit some of the smaller, two dimensional pieces in Pyramid’s under $300 collection.
